More than 150 people saw VSP’s inaugural production, Shakespeare’s bucolic comedy, As You Like It in May, 2004. This was followed by Macbeth in October when attendance more than doubled. All involved in both productions agree that Shakespeare on the Farm is off to a rousing start.
Its success can be attributed to enthusiastic casts and adventurous audiences with an assist from Jim, Jean, and Elizabeth Keathley; The Cannon Carriage Driving Center; Mack Melton; Ann McBride; WBRY Radio; the Cannon Courier; The Daily News Journal; and the Shirt Shack. |
